Hampshire based precision engineering firm Redmayne recently moved its operation from Brockenhurst to a brand new factory facility in Lymington, Hampshire.

The project brief

After a competitive tendering process, Redmayne chose Spaceway as its preferred contractor to fit out its industrial premises, creating storage areas, production rooms and offices using mezzanine floors, industrial partitions, suspended ceilings and industrial floor coverings.

The Spaceway contract was extended to include small power, lighting and air conditioning. This meant each room was ready for use on occupation by Redmayne’s engineers.

Spaceway worked closely with Redmayne throughout the process, by advising on space planning and product selection for the design and build of the interior of the industrial premises.

The project included: –

  • Mezzanine floors
  • Industrial staircases and safety rails
  • Industrial steel partition walls
  • Industrial steel doors and glazing
  • Suspended ceilings and lighting
  • Air-conditioning with heat pump
  • Electrical power and small power distribution
  • Industrial floor coverings

The project was fitted safely, on time and to budget, and was fully approved by the building inspector on final inspection.

The Outcome

Mark Spurway,  project manager at Redmayne, said ‘We were delighted with the service from Spaceway. The team was a great help to us with good design advice and product selection. The flexibility of the workforce on site was refreshing and we would recommend Spaceway to others’
