Spaceway was awarded the fit out contract due to its very competitive pricing, as well as the company’s commitment to working closely with the client to ensure the project is not only designed correctly and meets every need, but that everyone has the confidence to ensure it will completed on time and to budget.
The installation will comprise of a VNA pallet racking system to be used with specialist wire guided fork lift trucks. This will enable Kondor to store more than 5,000 more pallet spaces. Alongside this, a multitier pallet racking system will be installed to create three floors of picking for small items. The installation is due to start shortly with the whole project to be completed in five weeks.
Spaceway contracts manager Clive Verney said: “This is a great project to be awarded. It will be a challenge as the timescales for the completion in such a short space of time are critical, but we are confident that we will achieve this. We’re really looking forward to it.”
