Fusion Energy is described as the future of UK clean energy – currently the research and development of nuclear fusion energy is taking place at the UKs national fusion research laboratory at Culham Centre For Fusion Energy (CCFE) in Abingdon, Oxfordshire. the site is owned and operated by the UKAEA United Kingdom Atomic Energy Authority
The project is sponsored by the Engineering and Physical Sciences Research Council and also the European Union and currently employs over 150 staff.
The exciting developments on site have resulted in construction of new facilities, the Culham team called in Spaceway to assist with their requirements for new clean rooms, offices and laboratories.
Specialist modular steel partition panels with high specification doors and glazing were designed to the clients specific requirements to form the new areas.
Spaceway also provided new electrics, lighting, ceilings and decoration to complete the project on time and to budget.
